- Aerin FAQ
Buying perfume can be a more complicated endeavor than many people give it credit for… Not only is perfume often expensive, but finding your signature scent is usually easier said than done – especially if you’re shopping online! Thankfully, luxury lifestyle brand Aerin promises to have your back when it comes to perfume shopping. And thankfully, you are reading our Aerin perfume review, which will help you find your perfect scent.
While this was once a brand that had been barely heard of, Aerin Perfume has been making waves in recent years thanks to their very Instagrammable packaging and gorgeous scents that everyone seems to adore. But while the founder Aerin has some impressive credentials, does that translate into a product that’s everything it promises and more?
In our Aerin perfume review, we’re going to take a good look into the brand, its history, its ethics, and (vitally) its products. We’ll also take a look at real customer reviews to see whether the best Aerin perfume collections are worth the hype (and your hard-earned cash).
About Aerin Perfume
Aerin was founded in 2020 by Aerin Lauder… And if that name rings a bell, that’ll be because Aerin is the granddaughter of the great Estee Lauder – so she’s certainly got plenty of heritage in the world of luxury lifestyle!
The brand is “based on the premise that living beautifully should be effortless…” and includes carefully “curated collections in the worlds of beauty, fashion, accessories, and home décor.”
The brand claims to offer a balance between classic, timeless, and modern, with an aim to “make life more beautiful, with a sense of ease and refinement.”
Today, the brand’s full collection is available on its website. It also boasts a partnership with Sephora in addition to multiple retail locations. Aerin has also been featured in multiple trustworthy publications, including Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Architectural Digest, among others.
Regularly reviewed with titles like “The fragrance brand you don’t know about, but really should”, every Aerin perfume review we’ve found talks about a brand that’s heads and shoulders above the rest. With reliably delicious-smelling perfumes and a brand ethos that we can really get behind.
The brand has 56k Facebook followers and 411k Instagram followers.
So far, we’re feeling pretty good about Aerin perfume. But that doesn’t necessarily mean our Aerin perfume review will have a happy ending. Let’s keep diving to find out whether the brand is as good as it appears at first glance (and remember there’s a high price tag to match this luxury brand).
- Being the granddaughter of Estee Lauder (and closely associated with that brand before breaking off) will have given the founder a good understanding of luxury lifestyle.
- Aerin offers a wide selection of fashion, beauty, fragrance, accessories, and so much more.
- Very aesthetically pleasing, Instagram-worthy packaging.
- Almost every Aerin perfume review we found is overwhelmingly positive –big brands, bloggers, and customer reviews all tell a similar story.
- Available online, in retail stores worldwide, and via a partnership with Sephora.
- Respectable 30-day returns policy.
- Free shipping is only available on orders over $150.
- No international shipping available.
- High price tag – in fact, Aerin perfume is more expensive than competing brands, which could put it out of reach.
- Aerin doesn’t seem to offer any cruelty-free promises.
- No sustainability information is available on the Aerin website.
Aerin Perfumes Review
The Aerin perfume collection claims to provide “beautiful scents for every occasion.” Like the brand as a whole, the Aerin fragrance collection is inspired by femininity, and aims to strike a balance between classic, timeless scents with a strong heritage vs a modern twist to provide a “bespoke experience.”
The Aerin perfume collection is grouped into categories based on the primary scents:
- Rose and Peony
- Jasmine and Tuberose
- Bergamot and Mandarin
- Amber and Woods
Every bottle is “inspired by semi-precious stones” to create a gorgeous addition to your beauty collection (plus, looks great on your Instagram feed!)
But while the scents sound wonderful in theory (and who can resist a gorgeous perfume bottle?!), we want to make sure our Aerin perfume review goes deeper. So, we’re going to take a closer look at the best Aerin perfume offerings and what real customers have to say about them… All so you can make an informed decision about whether this is the best perfume brand for you.
Aerin Amber Musk Perfume Review
The Aerin Amber Musk perfume is probably the brand’s most well-known and beloved fragrance, and you’re likely to find it covered on most Aerin perfume reviews and blogs around the web – it’s just that popular!
This perfume “blends sensual florals, distinctive amber, and creamy musk” to create a “velvety” impression, while coconut water and rose fragrance help lighten the scent to create an uplifting experience with warm undertones.
According to one Aerin perfume review, this fragrance is like “putting on a freshly washed jumper… on a sunny winter’s day”. Aerin Lauder herself describes this fragrance as a “warm, inviting scent you want to wrap yourself in – like a soft cozy blanket on a cold snowy night.”
Although there are no customer reviews on Aerin’s website, we did check out the best Aerin perfume on Sephora to see what real people are saying about the products… And, based on these reviews, the Aerin Amber Musk perfume is as delicious as it sounds!
Scoring an impressive 4.3-stars across 107 reviews, customers loved the “feminine in a soft and sweet but not too sweet” fragrance. One of the only negative reviews we found (still 2-stars) found the scent a little generic and more like a body spray than perfume. But hey, you can’t please everyone! A few other reviews suggested customers buy a sample before committing to the entire $135 bottle – which sounds like good advice to us.
Aerin Perfume Rose de Grasse Review
According to Aerin, “the rose is a timeless symbol of beauty and femininity”. So it’s no surprise that Aerin perfume Rose de Grasse is one of the most popular and best Aerin perfume offerings available.
This fragrance boasts an “artisanal attention to detail” and combines a fusion of rose species, including the hundred-petaled Rose Centifolia, which is hand-picked in Grasse and gives the perfume its name.
Although rose fragrances aren’t for everyone, the Rose de Grasse Aerin perfume is considered one of the most beautiful and well-blended rose perfumes in existence by multiple fragrance experts, and the reviews seem to agree…
Looking again at Sephora for real Aerin perfume reviews, we found this fragrance scored 4.6-stars across 30 reviews, with 93% of customers stating they would recommend it to a friend. Multiple reviews stated this is “the best perfume I have ever had” and have referred to it as their new “signature scent.” A few customers likened the fragrance to Stella McCartney’s perfume, but with more complexity and depth.
One of the only complaints we found in these Aerin perfume Rose de Grasse reviews was the price tag – this is a VERY expensive perfume. So, if you’re not a rose-fragrance fanatic, it’s probably worth trying to find a sample of this perfume before splashing the cash on a bottle.
Aerin Perfume Mediterranean Honeysuckle Review
Aerin perfume’s Mediterranean Honeysuckle promises to take you to the “sun-drenched, azure-blue Mediterranean.” It’s likened to a vacation in a bottle (or, according to one Aerin perfume review, it’s “like a crisp, white shirt and freshly pressed jeans”).
Notes of Italian bergamot and “sun-warmed and citrusy” Mandarin oil provide lasting freshness, while sweet tones like Lily of the Valley, Jasmine Sambac Absolute, and Gardenia build “sensuality and richness”.
Founder, Aerin Lauder, states the Mediterranean is a “great source of inspiration in my life and my work,” and the “sense of timeless beauty and effortless style” (plus the “lush flowers and shimmering beaches”) were some of the things she had in mind when creating this perfume.
For customer reviews, we again reverted to Sephora, where we checked out the travel version of this fragrance. The perfume scored a 4.3-stars across 40 reviews, with multiple customers claiming that “it smells so good I’m buying the big bottle” and one reviewer stating they could still smell it on their skin 5 hours after application.
Aerin Perfume Lilac Path Review
The Aerin perfume, Lilac Path is a common favorite of the Aerin fragrance line. According to the product description, the scent “weaves a delicate story of crisp greens, rich blooms, and delicate petals,” with multiple Aerin perfume reviews stating this scent made them think of spring and brought back memories of playing in the garden as a child.
In a quote from Aerin Lauder, we learn that “Lilac Path captures the spirit of spring and makes it last.” And with fragrant galbanum, creamy jasmine, soft angelica seed oil, and uplifting orange flower supplementing the “evocative lilac” scent, we can absolutely agree that this is the smell of spring, that you can wear all year round.
Reviews for this perfume are a very respectable 4.3-stars across 77 reviews on the Sephora website. Obviously, lilac isn’t a scent for everyone, so there are a handful of customers who found the fragrance a bit heavy – and some even claimed it gave them a headache!
On the other hand, top reviews agreed with beauty bloggers around the web – this perfume is “spring in a bottle”. “Not just a lilac, it’s a garden… blending into a heavenly scent… a dream of lilacs”.
Cedar Violet Aerin Fragrance Review
While Aerin perfume Lilac Path is frequently described as a spring evening, Aerin’s Cedar Violet perfume is a “crisp autumn day”. One of their more recent releases, one beauty blogger predicts this fragrance is “destined for cult status”… And with its carefully curated balance of floral and woody scents, we can see why!
According to the product description, this perfume is inspired by the “wide-open wilderness of the Adirondacks, where forests cover mountain peaks… and the crisp air invigorates the body and spirit.”
Sparkling, uplifting notes of violet leaf, jasmine, and golden gardenia give this fragrance a light, “playful”, floral feel, while the “earthy richness” of amber, sandalwood, and Virginia cedarwood keep the scent grounded and “sensuous”.
Looking at Sephora, Cedar Violet has a slightly lower rating than other Aerin perfumes, coming in at 3.5-stars across 13 reviews. But it’s worth noting that not every perfume will suit everyone, and that this scent is still a relatively new addition to the Aerin fragrance collection, so may need a little more time to build up the “cult status” some beauty bloggers expect it to gain.
Looking at the reviews themselves, it does feel like this is a bit of a ‘love it or hate it’ scent, with many calling the fragrance “heavenly” and others stating it’s not for them (one reviewer called it a “nice mature scent, great gift for mom”).
Aerin Perfume Reviews from Customers
During our Aerin Perfume review, we’ve spent a lot of time looking at reviews from real customers and beauty bloggers across multiple websites and resources. This ensures we can give an honest and unbiased report of the brand’s products rather than basing the entire review on our personal opinions or the views of the brand.
Although Aerin doesn’t publish reviews on its own website, we did find the best Aerin perfume (all the ones we reviewed) are available to purchase from Sephora – a brand that does publish reviews!
In this research, we found almost all Aerin fragrances scored well over 4-stars. Two notable exceptions to this were the Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa Eau de Parfum and the Cedar Violet Eau de Parum. However, we also noticed that these are the two Aerin perfumes with the fewest reviews (9 and 13, respectively). It’s worth remembering that some scents can be incredibly dividing, and what smells great on someone else’s skin might not smell as amazing on your own. So a couple of 3-star averages across a small sample group is nothing to worry about.
Popular Alternatives to Aerin
We love looking at reviews from third-party platforms, as these are less likely to be filtered or skewed to provide a positive overview of the brand, and are therefore more trustworthy.
Frustratingly, we couldn’t find Aerin reviews on Trustpilot or the BBB. However, plenty of beauty bloggers have discussed the Aerin perfume collection, and unanimously claim it’s one to watch!

Where to Buy Aerin Perfume
The full Aerin perfume collection is available on the brand’s website – aerin.com. It’s also available in selected retailers worldwide, including Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and (obviously) Sephora. You can use the handy Store Finder on Aerin’s website to locate your nearest retailer if you would prefer to shop in-store rather than online.
We would probably recommend at least sampling Aerin perfume in-store before buying – this is certainly not a cheap perfume brand, and some fragrances can be divisive!

Aerin Perfume Promotions & Discounts
At the time of writing our Aerin perfume review, the only promotion we could find was 15% off your first order when you subscribe to the email newsletter. However, there is a prominent “Enter Promotion Code” box on the checkout page, which suggests promotions and discounts do crop up from time to time.
In our experience, the best way to keep an eye out for Aerin promotions would be to subscribe to the newsletter and follow the brand’s social media accounts.

Aerin Perfume Review: Editors’ Verdict
Overall, we couldn’t help but be impressed by this luxury lifestyle brand. Although we only looked at a few of the best Aerin perfumes, we were blown away by the attention to detail and wonderful sounding fragrances.
The brand has done an excellent job at describing the products so that you can almost smell them, even when shopping online – not an easy feat! – and based on the customer reviews, these descriptions are accurate and make perfume shopping a bit less of a chore.
Although some of the perfumes are a bit out of our own price range, they definitely seem to be a worthy investment, and we will be adding a handful of samples to our basket the second the opportunity arises! From others who have had the same idea, it seems that many customers initially bought a sample of Aerin perfume, and are now die-hard fans who happily splash the cash for some of these delicious scents.
The only words of advice we can muster is that it would be worth trying to sample any Aerin fragrance before spending potentially hundreds of dollars on a whole bottle. Some scents can be very personal, and tones like Rose, Violet, and even Lilly may be divisive… So don’t just rely on customer reviews to tell you what you like, go try them in real life!

Aerin FAQ
Aerin Beauty falls into the group of Estee Lauder Companies and is owned by the granddaughter of Estee Lauder himself, Aerin Lauder.
Whether or not a perfume is long-lasting can be a bit of a subjective question, with different people often experiencing different lifespans of various fragrances. That said, Aerin perfume is generally considered to be a long-lasting and “universally wearable” perfume brand, with some customers reporting they can still smell the scent on their skin 5+ hours after application.
Aerin groups its perfume into different fragrance brands to make it effortless for you to find your signature scent. These include:
- Rose and Peony
- Jasmine and Tuberose
- Bergamot and Mandarin
- Amber and Woods
Many scents are likened to fresh laundry or specific times of the year – like a spring evening or sunny winter afternoon.
Aerin Lauder (the founder) is the granddaughter of Estee Lauder and was closely linked to the Estee Lauder brand for a number of years before branching out and creating her own “luxury lifestyle brand.”
But although Aerin Lauder is the owner and founder of the Aerin brand, it does still form part of the Estee Lauder Companies Group.
